Tree Climber

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Salary: $15/hr to $20/hr

Description/Summary:

Solid Tree Care provides residential tree service in the Halifax Regional Municipality, including pruning and tree removal. We are looking for a full time seasonal tree climber with a strong work ethic and pride in their work product who places a high value on teamwork, quality, and safety.

Essential Qualifications:
- Certified Arborist or working towards achieving certification
- Experience tree climbing, pruning and removal
- Experience working with and maintaining chainsaws
- Knowledge of safe work practices
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Vehicle to get to and from work
- Ability to lift 60lbs consistently

Asset Qualifications:
- Experience operating a chipper
- Good knowledge of the Arboriculture industry
- Knowledge of high voltage power lines
- Class 3 driver’s license
- Good customer relation skills

Education:
- Graduate of Arboriculture program (or working toward completion)

Pay:
- $15/hr to $20/hr depending on experience
