Groundsman

Location: CA
Salary:

**This position requires travel throughout the state of California. Competitive pay plus $150 Per Diem**

Summary: 

A Groundsman is required to perform heavy physical duties on a variety of tasks which are generally semi-skilled in nature. Groundsman duties will vary depending on the type of work assigned to crew.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hauling brush and wood from the tree to the truck, assisting the tree climber, using ropes, various hand and power tools, and cleaning the job site.
• Work with takedown crews to ensure good communication between the crew.
• Function as a member of a tree crew while progressively learning new skills.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other equipment as needed on job-site.
• Maintain issued personal gear, crew gear, and equipment.

Requirements:

• Competent or willing to learn chainsaw operation and maintenance.
• Able to perform highly repetitive and physical functions.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear all PPE required.

Education and Experience: 

• High School diploma preferred.
• 1 year of professional tree climbing/tree trimming/ groundsman work experience.
