Climber / Arborist Wanted in Seattle FT/PT

Location: Seattle, WA
Salary:

Blooma Tree Experts, a successful family-owned tree service company servicing the greater Seattle area since 2005, is seeking an experienced climbing arborist. Skills in leading a crew and/or ISA certification will increase pay.

The ideal addition to our leadership team is hard-working, has a desire and ability to learn quickly, carries a positive attitude, and is well versed in all aspects of tree care. In this role, you will be accountable for managing and completing the tree jobs set for the day: climbing, removals, bucket truck operation, pruning, hedging, etc.

80% of our work is pruning, so extensive experience pruning following ANSI standards is required.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as a Climber
Excellence in pruning
Experience in rope and climbing saddle, spurs, and rigging
Experience in removals
Experience using chainsaws, climbing equipment, winches, and ropes
Experience working with aerial lift devices such as bucket trucks and driving large trucks
Experience in heavy duty machinery including chipper and stump grinder
Mechanically inclined; proficiency maintaining and repairing equipment
Valid Driver’s License
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to lead by example, be the hardest working member of the crew


Desired but not required:

A minimum of 1 year of Foreman experience
Ability to motivate and manage up to 6 employees
Ability to effectively delegate work to groundsmen
Ability to quickly analyze job site to position equipment and mobilize crew
ISA certification
Strong tree and shrub identification capabilities

Compensation:

$35 - $45/hour DOE
