Climbing Arborist Trainee

Location: Winchester, VA
Salary:

Now hiring part time Arborist/Tree Climber Trainee $25.00 – $37.50/hour

Option to become full time (4 day work week), crew leader, and more.

 

About us:

This is a small, new, growing, word of mouth business that serves the greater Winchester, VA area. 

This service specializes in capturing, increasing and maintaining value of individual trees, woodlands and other forest resources. We strive to do good by employing knowledge of natural systems to achieve land management goals.

We value work life balance and are be flexible in that regard. 

We follow American National Safety Standards Institute’s (ANSI) Z133 for arborcultural operations.

 

Requirements:

Must enjoy learning new things

Must enjoy physical work

Must enjoy working outside every day (we don’t work in hazardous weather conditions)

Must have a drivers license

Must be 18 or older 

Must speak fluent English

 

Experience and skills not required but appreciated: 

ISA Certified Arborist

Work at heights or climb recreationally

Formal education in environmental sciences or forestry 

Equipment operator

Know knots and/or rope rigging systems

Operate/have operated your own business or aspire to

CDL or truck driving

Woodworking

Tree and plant identification                                                                                                

Mechanic
