Urban Forestry Manager

Location: Bay Village, OH
Salary: $56,312 to $81,090

The City of Bay Village is currently hiring for a full-time Urban Forestry Manager for the Service Department.  Reporting to the Director of Public Service and Properties, this position is responsible for the managing of the urban forest and green spaces throughout the City; developing and managing tree maintenance, tree planting and other horticultural programs; inspecting and evaluating trees on public property for potential hazards, failures, and overall tree health; interprets, applies and enforces all City tree ordinances.

Position Requirements:  International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist and a minimum of three to five years of work experience in forestry, arboriculture, or horticulture in a commercial or municipal environment; Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Arts and Sciences Degree, Natural Resources Degree or Biology Degree preferred.  Pesticide applicators license is preferred.  ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment in position is required.  Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.
