ReLeaf Field Technician

Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Salary: $48,256.00 - $62,649.60 Annually

Assists ReLeaf Program Manager with the implementation of the ReLeaf Cedar Rapids urban forest restoration plan, primarily field data collection and quality assurance inspection as it relates to right-of-way and park trees.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Uses GIS to create, collect and analyze data.Records tree species and conditions.
• Assists Forestry staff with structural pruning of young trees.
• Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures, and safety practices. 
• Attends work regularly at the designated place and time.
• Supports continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Performs related work as required.

• Required Education and Experience
  • Associate’s Degree or two (2) to four (4) years of technical training or study towards a degree in forestry, natural resource ecology or related fieldAny equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.Valid U.S. Driver’s License

  Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
