ISA offers a variety of educational materials and products to help arborists expand their professional knowledge and experience. Every month we will feature a product or group of products. In July, ISA is featuring the Landscape Below Ground IV.
This publication is a collection of papers from the Landscape Below Ground IV Conference in 2018. These proceedings contribute to the growing body of knowledge on all aspects of tree root development in urban soils and represent an essential resource for practitioners, managers, and policymakers involved in city tree care.
The Landscape Below Ground IV also has a corresponding CEU quiz worth 3 CEU credits. (A, T, M, L, Bs, Bp, Bm).
This book will ensure you are up to date on all the latest research in preparation for the upcoming Landscape Below Ground V Conference. This hybrid conference will be held 11-12 October at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois, US, with an option for virtual participation. With a focus on tree root development in urban soils, participants will learn and exchange the latest science-based management strategies for establishing and maintaining trees' roots in challenging urban situations.
The Landscape Below Ground V Conference features top scientists and practitioners from around the world who will present their knowledge about how to help managers and policymakers choose, plant, and care for healthier, longer-lived trees by focusing on trees' critical and vulnerable root systems. Speakers will address the design and constraints of street planting spaces, nursery growing, soil selection and amendment, tree root architecture, and tree stability.
