Guide for Plant Appraisal

Applications Open for CTLA Participation

Earlier this year, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) announced its renewed commitment to the Council of Tree and Landscape Appraisers (CTLA) and its intention to collaborate on the development of an eleventh edition of the Guide for Plant Appraisal.

As the next step in this process, ISA will seat three representatives to the CTLA Content Review Committee. The Content Review Committee is a consensus committee of subject matter experts with respect to the amenity tree and plant appraisal process. This committee plays an important role in providing guidance during the formal review process for the development of the Guide for Plant Appraisal editions.

Additionally, ISA has established the ISA Guide for Plant Appraisal Task Group, which will support ISA’s Content Review Committee representatives by providing review feedback and expert input during the CTLA’s revision process.

ISA is now accepting applications from ISA members for roles on the CTLA Content Review Committee and on the ISA Guide for Plant Appraisal Task Group. More information on either of these roles and the form for applications can be found here.

The deadline for applications is Friday 1 November 2024.
